and useful. I can’t believe how much I learnt in 3
hours! Loads of hands-on practice. I thoroughly recommend this course to
anyone who would like to be more confident in an emergency. I learnt a lot and hope I don’t have to
use it, but I know now if a situation arises I can handle it. Training was - absolutely wonderful,
more than worth the money! I enjoyed the course very much, there
was enough input about everything and I will certainly recommend it to my
friends. I really enjoyed the friendly
environment that Emma created during the training, there should be more
comprehensive training like this. Very interesting course covering First
Aid in an emergency, I particularly enjoyed learning about resuscitating
babies and would recommend this course to all my friends. Every parent and prospective parent
should be prepared for an emergency, and this course was full of anecdotes
to help you remember what could, one day, save a child’s life. The AED and CPR course was very user
friendly, appropriate and fun for all members of the Practice team.
Relevant material with a useful emphasis on practicality. I enjoyed the informal setting - the
practical work with the dummies and the clear diagrams and information
sheets combined with the flexibility of teaching. I found Emma very
approachable and the delivery of her subject was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and feel I
learnt so much more from Emma in the couple of hours than I have learnt
previously on three full day First Aid courses. Emma's teaching was
excellent and she used numerous real life examples and hands-on practice
which reinforced the basic principles and made them impossible to forget. All the participants were fully involved
and the trainer was very confident and fluent. I enjoyed the lot and particularly about
how to use the Defib. We enjoyed every bit and I would highly
recommend this course to everyone. Good, enthusiastic and to the point It is really practical, very educational
and potentially life saving - forget what you see on the T.V. this is
real! I wanted to update my first aid
knowledge and First Aid for Life was willing to create an affordable
course to fit our exact requirements - we were about to embark on six
months of visiting hospitable and inhospitable environments around the
world. I arrived with a scattered knowledge of first aid and left feeling
confident that I was better placed to prevent misfortune and able to
increase my, and more importantly my wife's, chances of survival if bad
things happened. Very easy to understand. Super
explanations. Practical and useful: All the participants, including the
doctors told me it was the best Life Support course they have attended.
Everyone was full of chat about their experience and most enthusiastic
about you and your teaching skills - thank you. The Broomwood Hall Parents Association have held a series of First Aid courses, through First Aid for Life. They have been extremely popular and Emma Hammett is an excellent teacher. The courses are very informative and Emma’s knowledge is superb. Everyone who has done the courses have really enjoyed them and most importantly feel more confident dealing with accidents etc. We highly recommend 'First Aid for Life’ I thought the course this morning was
excellent. It was pitched at exactly the right level and it covered a lot
of ground without becoming confusing or repetitive. I'm not sure that I
have any particular suggestions for changes, as the course was exactly
what I was looking for and I learnt a lot of extremely useful skills. I
will definitely recommend the course to friends. Thanks and best wishes. I have attended many different first aid courses
throughout my career and can honestly say that I gained more from 3 hours
of your tuition than all of the other courses put together! It was a very
valuable way to spend a mid week evening after a long day - thank you so
much! I will be sending my husband on your course as soon as we return

today I really enjoyed it. You were very informative, engaging and at the
same time entertaining. I only wish there were more of these courses

really rewarding. I work as a trainer in the beauty industry, so
understand your side too. You were never boring, your tone of voice was
engaging so I did not feel sleepy and my mind didn't wander! It was good
having the laminated visuals and much better not to be following
powerpoint handout notes, as I think they are a distraction. I liked
watching the video as it cut the session up somewhat. Coming back to
subjects was really important as it helped the learning process. I liked
the cards at the end and doing them in a hurry made it a little more like
the real thing! Thanks so much again, this is a skill I am very happy to

someone like myself who was extremely rusty in terms of my knowledge of

person and your teaching is one of the best I have enjoyed for years, all
courses I have attended have never given me so much knowledge. I particularly enjoyed this course - much more than I
anticipated as it was thoroughly relevant, informative and engaging. It
was enlightening to learn that helping and perhaps even saving a person's
life is far easier than I had imagined. With next to no knowledge of first aid and a
predisposition to fainting at the sight of a scratch the course proved
both invaluable and memorable. I hope that I will never have to use any of
the things we learned but if it came to it I feel so much more prepared
especially for CPR, burns, bleeding, choking and fitting. Thank you. Dear Emma, we wanted to say how great we thought the
course was last Tuesday evening. We've both done first aid courses before
but not since having our daughter. Doing your course was much more than a
refresher for us - it has made us both much more confident that we'd know
what to do in an emergency - although obviously we very much hope that we

night - it was extremely informative and I went home and immediately
lifted those pesky dishwasher tablets out of reach............. A fantastic First Aid course that everyone should do in
order to be prepared. Very clear and hands-on so you know exactly what you
are doing. Down to earth, no nonsense course that addressed all
the major issues. No one was ever made to feel stupid and it was actually
fun! The Paediatric course was really thorough and Emma was
really knowledgeable and patient. Very relaxed, friendly teacher and group and lots of
fun! |
