First Aid for Toddlers and Children
This 3 hour course deals with accidents and injuries involving toddlers and children. You will learn what to do in an emergency, practise CPR skills and understand about treatment for common accidents and illnesses.
Who should attend?
This course is ideal for parents, child carers and those working with children who do not need the depth and detail of the Ofsted course and for parents who would have completed a First Aid for babies course and now find they need a CPR refresher and to cover areas not covered previously on the baby course.
What you will learn?
The course offers covers care of the unconscious child who is either breathing, or not-breathing as well as the treatment of commonly occurring accidents and illnesses. Children are now far more likely to injure themselves and we will ensure that we cover in detail choking, head injuries, burns and scalds, poisoning, bleeding, breaks and sprains, acute allergic reaction and any other areas that are of concern.
