Emergency Life Support – All Ages
This course deals with serious conditions and incidents. It is ideal if you would like to be trained in CPR skills and know what to do when initially faced with an emergency.
Who should attend?
This course is for members of the public who want to learn how to deal with an adult, baby or child who is unconscious. The course is also suitable for GPs and staff in Surgeries without a defibrillator.

Course Content
- Communication and casualty care
- Managing an incident
- Looking after yourself and the casualty
- The recovery position – practical session
- Managing an unconscious casualty who is not breathing
- Importance of the defibrillator (AED)
- Treatment of choking in adults
- How to help a drowning adult/child
- Treatment of severe bleeding and chest pains

Assessment and certification
Continuous assessment by trainer.
